People Change

People change.......some for the better, some for the bad, but it is inevitable - which ever way - people WILL and DO change through out life!

It typically is not just once or twice in a lifetime (at least not with people these days), people are CONSTANTLY changing.

It depends on what they have been through - when they were a child, what they went through or go through during their school years, what society throws their way, and alot of times it depends on the parenting they received growing up!

LIFE HAPPENS.......and we become a product of those circumstances! 

CHANGE is difficult and scary! CHANGE is full of uncertainties! CHANGE is inevitable....in everyone's life.

We change as we mature (grow up), we change when life is cruel to us, we change when life is good to us!

The one thing that is frustrating about change....is when we change over the years - for the better - but people in our lives do not see it, and still think we are the same person we were 25 years ago! Even though there is solid proof that we ARE NOT the same person......some people just don't see it, or acknowledge that we have changed!

It is a CHOICE that we make however - to CHANGE!  If we are in a "funk" - it is our "choice" to stay there or to make the necessary changes - and get out of the "funk".

If we are in a bad relationship, it is a choice - to stay - or to go - and make whatever changes necessary to prevent ourselves from becoming involved in another bad/abusive relationship.

The main reason I actually decided to write about CHANGE........my sister! 

My sister has been in a "funk" for SEVERAL years.....living life day by day.....TOLERATING things in a relationship that she never should have......all because she was afraid to take a risk and make a CHANGE......for her!  Not just a physical change as to leave an emtionally abusive relationship, but a change to her inner self, a change to her thought process, a change to her emotional well being!

FINALLY......after she had finally had enough...she decided to make the first step and 'change' her physical location, by moving almost 700 miles away from everything and everyone she has known (except for me), she moved to Virginia  - with me!  And after 6 short weeks she was able to make other needed changes - for her to become more emotionally stable, and more self loving!  Even though she had to leave all she knew.....she did what was necessary - to CHANGE!

She has the time and space she needs to progress with her emotional self, and mental health.  She has the freedom to do what she needs......for her!  Instead of walking on eggshells, and being on pins and needles - afraid to say or do the wrong thing....she is free to be the barefooted goddess/gypsy she desires and needs to be!

I am so proud of her....for becoming the person I knew she could  be.....if she would just make the CHANGE!
